SCHOOLS Program 2026

Program 1

Stars in our Eyes – Schools Program 2026 (year two and under)

The vision for TWL26 is for students of all ages to participate in and engage with art at a community level, with a strong focus on education around our chosen theme.

This year’s program is featuring the students from Takapuna Primary School, Belmont Primary School, Campbell’s Bay ELC and Northcote Early Learning Centre.

The 2026 theme is Space, inviting students to imagine and illustrate what they think lies beyond our planet. Their artworks will then be digitally scanned and transformed into a vibrant animated projection, bringing their creative visions of the universe to life.

The music for Stars in Our Eyes is composed by Mark Johnson, while the ever-transforming, magical realm is created by Daniel K Brown, Professor of Design Studio, Victoria University of Wellington and produced by Dan Move

Space provided the perfect inspiration for our preschool children to let their creativity and imaginations shine. Using bright, vibrant colours, they brought outer space to life through their own wonderful interpretations of aliens, planets, stars and galaxies. Each piece was unique and full of personality, capturing the excitement, curiosity and wonder that comes with exploring the magic of outer space.
